The intent for our Geography curriculum is to support, challenge and guide our children to become confident, empathetic and aspirational Geographers. Through learning about their locality and contrasting areas, they will develop a caring outlook towards their local area and other areas that may be further afield, allowing them to be able to see the potential and worth of caring for their environment.

The implementation of varied and meaningful Geography learning will encourage our children to be more considerate towards their environment. Our Geography learning will endeavour to provide opportunities for children to experience their local environment through a wide variety of stimulating and engaging tasks and topics. These opportunities will provide the children with learning experiences that will support them in their day to day life and provides them a real and relevant context for their learning.

The impact of the skills that they learn and the knowledge they gain about caring for their environment will form a strong foundation for their adult life.
