History
The intent for our History curriculum is to support, challenge and guide our children to become confident, empathetic and knowledgeable Historians. Through gaining a coherent knowledge and understanding of Britain’s past, children will become inspired and curious to know more about their heritage and will be able to acknowledge the impacts of specific historical figures.
The implementation of our History learning will endeavour to provide opportunities for children to ask perceptive questions, think critically and weigh evidence so they can make informative historical views. Opportunities will be provided for children to learn about historical events in a coherent and chronological manner so they can see the developments of events and how these link and influence each other.
The impact of our History learning will equip children with knowledge about significant historical events of the wider world which will consolidate their understanding of the achievements of mankind.
Our curriculum inspires curiosity, enables our children to aspire for more, and supports them in becoming resilient learners.
